Barcode Direct Tray (BDT)
If there are at least 300 barcoded letters (or 4Kg) letters in a particular BSP, then these letters can be put in direct trays, and benefit from reduced rates.Barcode Residue (BR)
These are barcoded letters of which there weren’t enough to make a direct tray. If there are more that 2000 barcode residue letters, they will be divided into states.Unbarcoded Residue (UR)
These are unbarcoded letters. They may be lodged together with barcoded letters. Till July 2002, the unbarcoded letters (up to 10% of the mail lodgement) benefit from reduced rates.
